The Passing of Pope Francis

The sad news of the death of Pope Francis has been announced, giving rise to prayers and reflection across our communities.

In his 12 years as our Pope and spiritual father, Pope Francis achieved so much, while navigating a time of great political and social change.

His many reforms to the church, while still safeguarding and promoting Gospel values, has brought light and love into so many lives, encouraging all to be true to the model and example of Christ.

The name of our Trust was chosen with great care to honour Pope Francis, because of his dedication to championing education and supporting the poorest in our communities, both of which are fundamental aims of our work.

His compassion, kindness and his caring leadership was an inspiration to us all.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord,

and let perpetual light shine upon them.
